Holland America Line Makes Two Key Appointments |

Brendan Vierra to Vice President Human Resources & Tim Murphy to Vice President Guest Programs |
Brendan Vierra has been named Vice President, Human Resources for Holland America Line and Tim Murphy has been named to succeed Vierra as Vice President, Guest Programs.
Vierra will now be responsible for providing overall direction, guidance and coordination of Holland America Line's human resource management activities worldwide. Vierra has been a key member of the management team since first joining the company in December 1997. Brendan was appointed Vice President, Guest Programs in January 2000 and since that time has successfully led guest programs to record service levels. Vierra will report to Stein Kruse, President and CEO, Holland America Line. Vierra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Chaminade College in Honolulu. He serves on the board of directors of the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tim Murphy, another Holland America Line veteran, has been named Vice President, Guest Programs, reporting to Richard Meadows, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Guest Programs. Murphy joined Holland America in 1987 and since that time has successfully mastered several positions of increasing responsibility within the Finance department. Tim is a CPA with a bachelor degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming.
"It is particularly satisfying to be able to appoint to two such important positions from within the company," said Kruse. "Both Brendan and Tim have been incredibly valuable team members for many years, and we are confident that they will continue to excel in their new positions."
Wayne Byers who had served as Vice President, Human Resources for Holland America Line, has been promoted to a new position, Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources at the parent company of Holland America Line, Carnival Corporation & plc., and will relocate to Miami following a brief transition period.
